Many people think they have tried every ice cream flavor. Wrong! Throw out your chocolate, vanilla, and strawberry, and take your taste buds for a ride by celebrating Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day!
The flavors are infinite! Some delicious creative flavors that have been invented are raspberry, coconut, caramel, butter pecan, and so forth. Then there are some absolutely crazy flavors out there like crocodile egg, octopus, caramelized brown bread, shrimp, bacon, pizza, and garlic ice cream.
Ice cream comes in several varieties such as ordinary ice cream, frozen custard, frozen yogurt, gelato, etc. There’s even fried ice cream, which is flash-fried to create a crunchy coating while keeping the core cold. Before the 10th century though, ice cream was made out of ice and not milk. While we now see a universal love for ice cream, it was originally only reserved for the elite.
National Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day is celebrated on the first day of National Ice Cream Month, which was declared by President Ronald Reagan in 1984. As one of the most popular treats, the United States has the largest worldwide consumption of ice cream with an average person consuming 48 pints of ice cream each year, and California is the largest producer of ice cream in the United States.
You can celebrate Creative Ice Cream Flavors Day by getting creative and making your own flavor or simply tasting a flavor you swore you never would!
